This past week we took on more of a hands on type camp - science, math, reading and exercise for preschoolers and kindergarteners. Walking into it, I was nervous. I am much more comfortable teaching dance moves to a group, than trying to help 17 children make exploding rockets! But it went very well and I must admit that on the last day, as they sang Skinnamarink to their parents, I was tearing up a bit.
We had lots of fun.
We experimented with Flubber:
We got some exercise with the monkey obstacle course:
We made exploding canister rockets! A huge hit!
On our nature walk we made bracelets:
We made space centres and learnt about the galaxy:
We made our own galaxy with chalk:
We had a blast! So nice to meet everyone!
